If you're looking for a good bank, look again!
This review is for: Westamerica Bank
I've been a member of WestAmerica bank for years with both personal and business accounts. At the same time I was a member of County Bank of Merced "now that was a Good bank". Since WestAmerica took over County Bank nothing has been the same. The Bank personnel from the old WestAmerica are still friendly but the bank seems to have turned on the customers. They charge for everything, they even charge someone to cash WestAmerica checks. So if you write a check over $100 and that person wants to cash it at a WestAmerica branch it will cost them $5. plus they'll be treated poorly for doing so, and if you're in the Los Banos branch, even if you're a member count on being treated like scum.
It was a good bank, but not anymore and that's too bad.

Good Bank
This review is for: Westamerica Bank
Once I became of age and got my own bank account, I went with Westamerica, because my mom had already been their customer for years. I went with their bank and never once looked back. It was one of the smartest decisions I ever made as an adult. Westamerica bank tellers and management clearly value their customers greatly. I can honestly say I have never had a negative experience in their establishment, even when my financial situation was in bad shape. They always treated me with dignity, and treated me as a human being with feelings. This bank puts an end to the idea that bankers are cold and unfeeling. Westamerica works with its customers, and their philosophy of good customer service is reflected in every action they take towards working FOR customers, from the greeting and warm smiles, to the transactions, answering questions, and educating, to the “goodbyes”. Westamerica bank makes me feel important. They get to know their customers on a first-name basis, which I appreciated. Even in the largest of cities, westamerica bankers truly take the time to get to know their customers, and treat them well.
