Could it Take any Longer

I banked with this bank for about three years. When my checking account was opened, it was meant for me but my it had to have my parents' names on it because I was only sixteen. I was not very happy with the fact that although the clerk at the bank told us that if there were any problems with my parents' accounts mine would not be affected. When their accounts were frozen, mine was too. I did not find the employees to be very knowledgable nor did I think they had professional attitudes. The clerks were always talking amongst themselves while dealing with the people there to handle their transactions. When I go to the bank, I do not want to sit there and listen to the bank clerks talk to each other about their plans for the weekend or what they did last night. I want to do what I came there for and get on with my day. A few months ago, I decided to switch banks and up until now, I have only kept enough in the account to keep it open. I called last week about closing the account and the person that I spoke to had a very bad attitude. She rudely asked me if I knew how much was in my account. I also was unhappy with the time it took for deposits to become available.

I don't know how strong this bank is, but my experiences with them have been great. They treat me far better that any bank or credit union I've used before. I opened a savings account with an out of state check from an investment account. They of course put a hold on it. However the manager at the branch where I opened this account told me to call him in a few days and if my check cleared he'd release the hold. This is unheard of in my experience. I followed up with him a few days later but my check hadn't cleared. The following day it had and true to his word he released the hold. I got my money two or three days sooner than I would have anywhere else. If this doesn't seem like a big deal here's a comparison. Another bank had a hold on a fifty thousand dollar insurance check of mine. They bounced a check I wrote and mailed out of state simply because the hold period hadn't expired.
Everytime I go to a branch I get the feeling that the employees care about providing good service and they do just that. So if you're still with a bank where the thought of service never enters their minds you might want to try Compass

I have had this account for over 7 years, i chose this bank because it got me with the free checking. I didn't need to have a specific amount in the bank at any time. So I went with it. At first the bank was great, I didn't have a problem with them.. After a trouble with my cell phone company, thats when the headache came. I was charged double for a bill, and was given the money by the company who did it, but the fees that came with it was outrageous. It took over 2 months to get this taken care of because the bank people didn't do anything. I was transfered and put on hold so many times it was un-real. When I went into the branch I had to wait for over 2 hours, while 5 branch people talked to me.. The bank finally appoligized and gave me back the fees and the money into my account. I didn't seem to have an issue, untill I noticed when I deposted my money into the account, not all of it went into my account. I later found out that the air head working the till, had took some of my money and put it into the other account she was working one. So over all I haven't had to many great experiances with this bank. I late closed my account after reporting them to the B.B.B . After reading this and u want to bank with them, then so be, I warn u that ur a fool to do this. So good luck with the bank, that steals money, and doesn't have great customer service.

Customer for 5+ Years

I’ve been using Compass Bank for over five years now and I have had nothing but a good experience using their services. Their banking locations, hours and staff have all ways been very acceptable. Many times I’ve spoken to their staff about financial products I am interested in and they have helped me find solutions. The tellers at both the counter and the drive through have been very enjoyable to work with as well, even when the lines are quite long, they do make the effort to get you on your way quickly.
One time I needed an unsecured loan to help pay for a credit card which raised my interest rate suddenly. I walked into my local Compass Bank location and was greeted by one of their staff immediately. We spoke about my situation and he offered a solution to help me cover the balance of the credit card which a product of theirs. He was very empathetic about the situation and was able to speak to his management to arrange a loan for me. He drew up the terms and I signed the loan agreement that afternoon. Phenomenal service!
I was very thankful for their help and I would definitely recommend my bank to anyone who was interested.
