At Least Earn Some Interest!
I opened this account about a month ago after I noticed that Bank of America stopped giving me any interest on my Money Manager account that I have had for years. After researching all of the products, I determined that this account was the best choice for the following reasons.
1. I would earn 1.00% interest.
2. I would earn 1.24% interest if I do an automatic transfer of at least $250 monthly from my checking account to this account.
3. I would not incur any fees if I keep a balance of $5,000 or more.
It's not the best deal out there, but I wanted to stay with Bank of America and the customer service rep I spoke with was very helpful in explaining all of my options to me. I consider Bank of America a "middle of the road" bank. There are banks that offer better deals and there are banks that offer worst deals. They are convenient because there are many ATMs and offices in the US, but they do not always have the most attractive deals. If you have a BofA branch near you, I would recommend them otherwise shop elsewhere. Their online and phone support are very good.
